Why God? Why Pain? Why Me?
It’s been a really interesting journey as I study the world around me. I am preparing a video for an upcoming series called “Why Bad Things Happen”. There are plenty of painful issues in my own life. More annoyances when I compare them to others and the world.
When I look around I see big events and tragedies. I fail to see people, but I do see the war in Libya, the tsunamis,...

I made a quick Bumper yesterday for the Jesus Dilemma kick off. I had to come up with something that wouldn’t be super lame in about 2-3 hours. It’s not the coolest thing ever, but I kinda like it.
After effects for animation and camera shake, Twitch, custom grading.
Check out the actual trailers here:

Current State of the Organized Body
For years, various writers and researches have reported that the North American church is anemic and lethargic at best. Many believe that Jesus’ commentary about Laodicea fits the church in America today, “I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other!”
We aren’t risky. We settle for our systems and programs. Where is the...

APATHY “You can give without loving but you can’t love without giving.” The Rock Church sdrock.com Written and Directed by Christopher Loope I wanted to make a piece that dealt with the character flaws we all have that might prevent us from making an impact on our world. I think the biggest one we Americans have is “Apathy”. We see the problem, but do nothing about...

Looking back at what I did last year for Cornerstone’s Easter promo.
This was the first video I custom built the environment and designed the lighting rig. The goal was to make something a little more artistic, straight forward and simple but not literal.
Dark against light. The contrast of Jesus, white/pure and the rest of us, dark and lifeless. Not only does the paint represent blood,...

Future work from The Rock Film crew
With the releasing of “Apathy” and the 3 “Jesus Dilemma” trailers, I feel like we are just getting started here. I am challenged, excited, and blessed to be working with the crew at The Rock church in San Diego. I have a DP that has incredible patience to work with someone like me. He has skills that could take him anywhere, but he is giving it to God and killin it. Props...

Easter promos. That is a media challenge. As a christian you really want to show an empty tomb. That is the ultimate reality, but for the world who might not even believe that, what do you do? This year I just wanted to tell the story with some energy and excitement. Almost with authority so that I could energize skeptics to give it a shot. I’d love to see what your church is doing. There...

Rich vs Poor
Do you realize that if you make $4,000 a month, you automatically make one hundred times more than the average person on this planet? - Francis Chan
I’m re-reading “Crazy Love”. Chan asks the question: “which is more messed up - That we have so much compared to everyone else, or that we don’t think we’re rich?”
Remember how hard Jesus said it will be for...
